Six ships in the style of Star Trek's* Klingon Empire in small, medium, large, and huge sizes. To use: extract the files into "My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2\ships", start a game, select the desired ship, click "Update", equip with desired components, and save with a different name. You may then make the unequipped ship "Obsolete" so as to not overwrite it for future use. A player can use these as any race.

**** REQUIRES v1.1 or later of Galactic Civilizations II ****

(NOTE: You might play the custom race as Klingons: Courage +25, Hit Points +10, Loyalty +10, Military Production +20, Morale +10, soldiering +30, Weapons +15.)

Can't get it to work, should'nt there be something to place in the GC2Types file? and something for the GFX/Models folder?

great ships i got these working after I started a new game , but when I save a game and load it back up. i go to the ship up date to add more weapons or update them and all the stuff that was add is gone!!! it look like the base mode .....you started with??? what is the deal i followed
the readme txt file ???? help me mister wizard!!!!!!!

Delete the files the zip file put in the "ships" directory to uninstall. I've never used Kryo's ship mod, so I'm not aware of any conflicts.

I've got them working in the regular version. Where do the files need to be for metaverse games?

I use the deepest green for both base color and trim, and a custom red-orange for engine glow. (The reds are too red for my taste.)

I was indeed referring to the smaller BoP. I find it closer in appearance to the trek ship and more useful in the early game. Besides, the movies and series seemed to use them at various sizes/scales so many fans presume for the sake of internal logic more than one ship class referred to as such.

Since I’ve got Lightwave and Maya on hand, I’ll be moving on to custom models for the next go-‘round.; hopefully mix and match saucers, nacelles, and pylons as hulls and jewelry. (As time and wife allow of course.)

And, for those that care, since the re-working of starting bonus choices with v1.1, I’ve re-adjusted the Klingon stats I use to:

Courage +25, Hit Points +10, Loyalty +10, Military Production +20, Morale +10, soldiering +30, Weapons +10

(Weapons +15 is no longer an option.)

The ones I have seen are GREAT!

I would like to know how you get them that color. No matter what color I select for the the hull and trim it has a blue tint on the main body of the ship (drengen). Should I play with a different type of ship to get that cool color like on the pic?

Aye great work thanks. Was wondering you said you added a new design for 1.1. Where is it I cant seem to find any other then the ones that where also in 1.0. Unless there is a new version of the bird of prey?

You're welcome!

For portraits I use re-cropped images found at the official site which, of course, I can't repost here for copyright reasons. If your computer can play DVDs then cropped and resized screen captures work nicely as well.

Thanks for the ships! I'll give them a try! Do you by chance know of a Klingon portarait that we could use to go with them :)

I've uploaded v1.1 of the ships for use with v1.1 of the game, and you can use any race now! I've also included an additional ship design.

You'll need the tech to build Advanced Hulls to build even the small ships. If you've already tried that, then I'm not sure what could be causing your problem. I created them in v1.0X (current release) but I’ve found them to be completely useable in v1.1 beta2 as well.

As to the cross-species issue, I’ve found no way to work around this besides building the ships once again for each race or making/modifying core ships in some way. Either of these options seem a bit drastic. If no solution presents itself, each of the races can be recreated in short order in the custom race slot. I’ll upload a new version after v1.1 is finalized with at least one additional small bird of prey.

They look incredible but for some reason, I can't get them to work. I installed them as your instructions clearly state and started a new game. Sadly, I'm stuck with the old ships and not these awesome ships. :( I did update my galciv2 with that stardock program to the current version (I think it was v1.10 so maybe that has something to do with it.

Anyway, the ships in the pic do look simply incredible!
