This is a great mod. However i am against adding further weapons to the tech tree. Is there a way you could change the files of some of the original weapons to show your effects?

You really should just use the mods folder, rather than telling people to add lines to their core data files. Much simpler, and you won't have people losing it every time they patch.
I posted changes that Moosetek13 wanted, they should be updated in few days.
Does it work when you open that "file" file?
I would rather see the mod be of just the weapon itself, without all the other changes and additions.
There is no need to replace the entire tech tree and GC2Types files for the addition of a single weapon.
whenever i download this it comes in "file" format. is this right?
