REQUIRES GC2 VERSION 1.2 OR HIGHER!
Features:
+ New "Blank" hulls that consist only of a single disembodied hardpoint; create ships from only jewelry and components with no hull at all.
+ All hulls in the game are available as jewelry, including Dread Lord hulls (combined with blank hulls you can use any hull with any size or race, or multiple hulls at once).
+ "Fake" versions of Colony, Constructor, Transport, and Trade modules for making symmetrical ships. Includes the previously unused mirror version of the Constructor and Trade modules for correct Left/Right symmetry.
+ Hardpoint formations (disembodied hardpoint groupings). Includes single extension, dual mirrored, triple, quad, etc, up to a ring of 8. Also included are a cluster of 10 hardpoints for placing multiple items in one place, and a delta formation for making ships that look like groups of mini-fighters.
The mod has been restructured for 1.2, and now uses the mods folder. The various features of the mod are broken into multiple XML files as well so you can selectively disable the parts you don't want. More details in the readme.
READ THE INCLUDED README BEFORE USING!! You must start a new game to see the mod's effects; it will not work on a save made before installing it.

Terran fighter pack
Something for you fighter freaks out there:
The pack contains tiny (fighters) and small (corvettes - or call them heavy fighters or whatever...) ships, 10 each, for the human ship style.
All of the ships are basic hulls with extras. No engines, weapons etc. attached. Note that you will have to research Advanced Hulls to get access to fighters 07 - 10. The reason is simply that I wanted to use the second human tiny hull (cockpit) for some of the fighters and it becomes available only then. All the others you should see in the ship designer right after you start a new game.
Be warned that some of them (especially the fighters) more or less look like aircraft (wings and stuff), but hey, that's what they do in pretty much any SF-movie, right? Anyway, you can look at the pics I included before extracting the files.
I stole the naming convention from Rabid_Monkey that he used in his great Imperial ship-pack:
z[designation] Croc-xx
Designation is: FGT (fighter) - tiny or CRV (corvette) - small.
You need GalCiv2 version 1.2 (might work with 1.1 but I couldn't check) and the Collector's Edition stuff to use them. Please update BEFORE you unzip the files.
Their .shipcfg-files are all less than 20 KB so they should not effect your gameplay too much.
INSTALLATION: Unzip the .xml and .shipcfg files into your ...\My Games\GalCiv2 or ...\My Games\GalCiv2\ships directory, depending on if you use folder names when unzipping or not.
Hope you like them,
have fun!

Here are some Terran-style ships I made during the last couple of weeks.
The package contains 10 ships, one for each warship hull size plus 5 for the most commonly used cargo roles. All of the ships are basic hulls with extras. No engines, weapons etc. attached. So you should see them in the ship designer after you have researched the corresponding hull size class.
They are more or less asymmetrical and very 'navy-ish' and therefore probably not for everyone's taste, but you can look at the pics I included before extracting the files.
I stole the naming convention from Rabid_Monkey that he used in his great Imperial ship-pack:
z Croc-[Cargo role]-0x
Designation is 'Cargo' or, in case of warships, the Navy-like designations: PTR (patrol ship) - tiny, FF (frigate) - small, DD (destroyer) - medium, CR (cruiser) - large, BB (battleship) - huge.
Cargo role is only for cargo hulls and, well, the cargo role:
Colo for colony ship, Cons for constructor, Frei for freighter, Trans for troop transport, Sens for sensor ship.
You need GalCiv2 version 1.1 and the Collector's Edition stuff to use them. Please update BEFORE you unzip the files.
INSTALLATION: Unzip the .xml and .shipcfg files into your ...\My Games\GalCiv2 or ...\My Games\GalCiv2\ships directory, depending on if you use folder names when unzipping or not.
WARNING: Their .shipcfg-files are sometimes pretty big and this WILL have an effect on your gameplay.
So use them at your own risk!
Hope you like them,
have fun!
