REQUIRES GC2 VERSION 1.2 OR HIGHER!

Features:

+ New "Blank" hulls that consist only of a single disembodied hardpoint; create ships from only jewelry and components with no hull at all.

+ All hulls in the game are available as jewelry, including Dread Lord hulls (combined with blank hulls you can use any hull with any size or race, or multiple hulls at once).

+ "Fake" versions of Colony, Constructor, Transport, and Trade modules for making symmetrical ships. Includes the previously unused mirror version of the Constructor and Trade modules for correct Left/Right symmetry.

+ Hardpoint formations (disembodied hardpoint groupings). Includes single extension, dual mirrored, triple, quad, etc, up to a ring of 8. Also included are a cluster of 10 hardpoints for placing multiple items in one place, and a delta formation for making ships that look like groups of mini-fighters.

The mod has been restructured for 1.2, and now uses the mods folder. The various features of the mod are broken into multiple XML files as well so you can selectively disable the parts you don't want. More details in the readme.

READ THE INCLUDED README BEFORE USING!! You must start a new game to see the mod's effects; it will not work on a save made before installing it.

This is a Zip file, containing the Human Style hull from the Bonus Pack, as well as some of its accompanying structural extras.

This file contains:
1) 3D Studio Max file of the hull and the extras.
2) CorelDraw File of the of the Texture, with mutable layers.
3) PSD File of the Texture (Created form the Corel File, Not everyone uses corel ;)
4) The final texture maps, used in game, diffuse, light and Normal map.

I am working on detailed tutorials on making models and textures for the game, but for now this will hopefully help people out.

Galactic Civilizations II comes with nine logos, on top of those for major and minor races, representing actual countries on Earth (presumably where most of the playerbase is).

This is my effort to bolster that number somewhat.

Don't worry; there will be more coming along; it's just that more effort = fewer (but better logos) and I just started this project in my free time 2 days before this upload.

This is the White Star a medium sized fast Combat Vessel from Babylon 5 combining technology from both the Minbari and the Vorlons.

v2.0 changes:
- optimized textures again (using only 2 texture files now with some qualitative improvements, delete the old ones if you got them)
- moved some hardpoints to and added additional hardpoints inside the ship now. especially the first 2 engines will be placed there now autoamtically if you double click on the engines in the shipyard
- added thumbnail picture
- added XML example

This is a description of what I did to import the White Star into GC2 including: Exporting from Freespace, Importing into 3DS Max, Texturing and the adding of dummies/hardpoints.

Its pretty straight forward and for the experienced modder or modeller won't contain much if anything new, but I was asked to write something like this so here we go.

This is version 2.0 of the Aurora. changelog:
- increased size by 50%
- optimized texture maps (you now only need the 2 included texture files, delete the old ones if you got v1.0 of the model)
- added thumbnail picture (called S0_Aurora.png)
- fixed lighting bug (light comes from the top now, not from below the ship)

This ship now comes with an installation guide in order to add it as a tiny human ship hull without having to overwrite existing models. Read the included readme.txt for details.
